Producer Fairchield Dornier developed the DO-328, the fastest turboprop regional plane of all times. From an engineering point of view this was brilliant, but the development costs drove Dornier into bankruptcy. Two years after they had stopped production, AvCraft resumed manufacturing the Dornier 328Jet. One user of this jet is the German Automobile Club ADAC.
